Title: Re: Railriders sale

I wanted to bump up this old post. I ordered a pair of the Rail Rider Bushwhacker Weatherpants. They just got here and look great. Because of their sale there aren't many sizes left that I could see. I was lucky enough to find my size. So when the time comes to replace some pants check it out.

That said, I wanted to report on the Piragis Canoe Pants I've been using. I liked them, but on this last trip they started to disintegrate on me, top of the thigh area. I'm guessing from UV exposure?? They looked fine when I packed them, but it seemed like dry rot the way they failed. They're a cotton/poly blend.

Some tripper friends have used the Filson Tin pants (waxed cotton) and reported when they fail, it's the same area and the same way. The Filson's are very warm and heavy, but nice on cool to cold days. That said I wouldn't replace them when they're gone, just because of the weight and being too warm on nicer days.
