Yup, in May of 02. Mack is awesome, great fishing, especially for walleye and smallies. Nice campsite for fishing on the peninsula that juts down between the northwestern and northcentral lobes of the lake. The portage from Mack to Munro is not an easy one. Steep, with a floating bog landing on the Mack Lake side. When we were portaging back into Mack from Munro, I got about 60 ticks on me. It was amazing- I could see them on the branches and getting on my clothes, but with a canoe on my back there was nothing I could do. Had to strip buck nekked at the floating bog to get them all off of me and my clothes. We went from Munro to Kenny Lake and back, and I don't recommend it. There's at least nine short in and out portages, and the trip includes such memories as the "boulder field of fun", and "the triple portage"...
