I don't know what Doug or Claire would say, but Mexican Hat was good but two days in. You could basecamp and fish Glenn also. Going the other way through Elephant Head and that way... Paull was a good bet for that too. The wind gave us fits on Paull though. But I was intreged by Elephant Head as a possible fishing lake like you might be looking for... My guess you can't go wrong on most of the lakes in WCPP. Ate a nice Laker on Paull and many northerns caught despite the wind.
