Length matters. Weight matters. Lot's of things matter. The big thing I worry about with a canoe I've not used before is how my packs will fit. Beyond that? It's pretty much all good.

If you could offer specifics, people might be able to offer knowledgeable comparisons. Personally, for the shear joy of paddling I like my tandem backwards the best. Unfortunately, paddling just for the shear joy of it doesn't happen often enough on my trips so I'm still looking for the perfect canoe.
