I purchsed a Bell Northwind Black Gold two years ago. It's seen 50 days in the Q and has lots of those white scratches....er, battle scars. I put "skid" plates on after the first season, using black felt and epoxy. May not look as elegant as some skid plates, but it was cheap and gets the job done.
