Mad_Mat, thanks for your perspective. (I'm still fumbling around a bit trying to post, etc. to this website.)
I did look on-line at the Clipper you mentioned, but think that it is not the canoe that my wife and I want. I really should post here our criteria (if I can "paste" them in). • More seaworthy than our Malecite (more freeboard, higher ends.) • Lightweight, but probably not as light as the Malecite. 58 pounds max? • Attractive. (The Langford Prospectors are more attractive to me than the Malecite because of their more pronounced sheer. • Mostly for flat water, hence tracks as well as the Malecite • Seats suitable for kneeling and sitting. • No tractor or bucket seats. Ah! Success. Thanks again. |
