I know we guys can be meatheads at times.........it's likely most of us are speaking from personal experience when we talk about taking our wives along and making the trip a cakewalk.

My wife's idea of roughing it on a canoe trip would be a leisurely paddle around the lake with NO bugs for an hour or two in the evening and then retiring to a really nice cabin with a roaring fire in the hearth.

And I'm good with that. It's just not her thing. So that's reality.......if I took her it would absolutely have to be a very kind sort of trip.

I also get that there are gals out there who could outride, outshoot, and just plain walk me into the ground.
