Anyone ever make an extension for a kayak paddle.  I know that Mohawk makes one for their paddles, but what I'd like to do is make a 270/274 from a 240 Bending Branches Whisper kayak paddle (this paddle doesn't come any longer than 240).  (I also have a 240 Sevylor, but I think converting it would be more complicated since it uses a twist tightener rather than a click button.)

I might also make a T-handle for one of the ends while I'm at it.

Any hints? Recommendations?
