Title: Accessing the Northeastern Edge of Quetico Post by Park1 on May 13th, 2011 at 8:37pm
Hi everyone.
I am planning a trip for this summer... hoping to do a loop that includes the Wawiag River and the Falls Chain. I was wondering if there was any way to access the Quetico from the East without going through French Lake. On some of the satellite maps it appears that some of the logging/seasonal roads go fairly close to the park. Has anyone ever entered through this way? We have about five days, are experienced paddlers and been to Quetico numerous times. We managed a loop from Nym to Badwater (through Robin, Lynx, Bee) in 4 nights and five days. That was an awesome trip! I would like to avoid crossing the border only to paddle back into Canada... seems weird for some reason. Any help would be awesoem. Thanks. Aaron |
