Coffee filter?  Why?  Didn't your's come with the initial screen filter?

I love my Katadyn Base Camp Gravity Filter.  Albeit, it's only asked to filter about 2-3 gallons a day during a 6 day trip.  Just fill it, hang it and drain it into a gallon jug and it's making water while we fish.  I do clean the initial wrap-around screen filter daily because of the pollen and I am on the same filter after 2 years and approx. 6 weeks of use.  I have noticed only a slight decrease in flow.  If I recall, the filter was good for 200 gallons.
