Thanks for sharing.  I imajine they would add a little extra fun for the little ones.  We used to draw checkerboards on packs with a permanent marker and play rocks vs. pinecones checkers.  I've seen a few people bring a set of chess pieces as well. 

My son just turned 1, so it will be a little bit before these are needed.  :)
