Title: Re: paddle clip Post by mastertangler on Aug 27th, 2011 at 7:26pm
Always thinking........
Have you had any problems with the clip coming off MP? I know the Goop has some flexibility so it may not be an issue. I think I would drill some holes through the wood base plate to allow some of the glue to seep through. The effect would be similar to a rivet. Just a thought...... I suppose the bent shaft stores nicely in the taper of the boat. A straight shaft might have "issues". Perhaps a thicker block of wood to allow for the lack of angle (of the paddle) at one end? If I pursue some WW paddling ease of access would play an important role on where that spare paddle is placed. Get a paddle wrenched out of your hands or broken and it would be crucial to be able to snatch another. Perhaps you WW guys could shed some light. I know what I want but I'm not sure how to get there just yet. |
