I noticed from your photo that your tarps don't have any tie-outs along the center line (except at the edges).  Any reason for this?  (Nice trick to use shoes as a tensioning device.  :))

The green tarps looks very much like my Campmor tarps; green with white tie-outs.  They have worked VERY well, but the silnylon tarp should cut the weight about in half.
