It is no secret that i am a strong advocate of railriders clothing as I think it is the best I have ever used.......so far nothing else comes close.

I do not own these, preferring shorts for the most part if it is warm( I would self combust in pants on a hot day), but I know many folk like pants. These might fit the bill for you if you need to get air to "certain" places. I have yet to put a scratch or a dent in anything I have purchased from them. Yea I know you have to practically hit the lotto to afford them but mine will likely outlast me. Plus RR's look cool....... 8-) ::)

After seeing a picture of you wearing Railrider Weatherpants (what the stylish neo con is wearing this year?!) I investigated and was sufficiently impressed that I went out and got myself a pair (see, hands pants across the political divide.)  I have to agree with you on this one MT, these are the perfect pants for backcountry canoeing - lightweight, fast drying, and wear like iron with pockets where you need them.  Really, they're not that expensive even at $100 but if you get on their mailing list and wait they eventually come on sale.  I bought mine for $70 and I don't know where you can buy much of anything for less.

I am a big fan of railriders gear. Their eco mesh shirts are great for bwca. They are half the weight of my conventional fishing shirts. They dry in the least time. I actually did a drying test to confirm. The only downside is that the mesh does not play well with velcro so the sleeves can snag on pfd velcro pocket closures.

I use their non-mesh pants and they are very rugged.

Another brand of shirts to consider is Breath Like a Fish. They make excellent fishing shirts with similar, but coarser,mesh and they are very comfortable. Dry in a flash also.
