A couple of years ago, I found an outfitter's canoe on Beaverhouse which had been blown from a campsite due to the negligence of campers.  When we checked in at Atikokan, the ranger asked us to be on the lookout for a lost canoe.  I put the canoe on the shore, high and dry, and called the ranger when we got out.  The canoe had a couple of holes in it from pounding on the rocky shoreline.
