Title: Quetico Fire Bans Post by thinblueline on May 3rd, 2012 at 3:21am
Can you guys explain Quetico fire ban regulations in the following hypothetical situations? I know when you check in at the ranger stations, they will advise you on whether or not there is a fire ban in effect. If they tell you there is, but two days into your trip, there is a widespread gully washing all night down pour, are we allowed to assume the fire ban has been lifted, since they might have in fact lifted it, but we would have no way of knowing. And what if there is no fire ban in effect on the day we entered, but three days into our trip they put a fire ban into effect. Again, we would have no way of knowing, but we are out there building fires during a fire ban. How are these situations handled, and thanks in advance.
