Title: Re: Super Moon paddle Post by azalea on May 6th, 2012 at 2:44pm Quote:
In my new kayak. Yes I like it and I think I made the correct choice. It came with a removable "dashboard" that has my GPS mounted on it, some cup holders, two fishing rod holders, and two storage compartments. I paddled it for the first time with that in. I am in that uncomfortable stage of learning a new tool. With the dashboard in reducing the size of the opening, I struggled to get in and out. And the paddling is different. In a canoe, paddling is like walking, I do it without thinking. With the kayak I am not there. And I feel I use more of my body when I paddle the canoe, the kayak seems to be more arms (at least that was what my arms were telling me). This was also my longest paddle so far (maybe not in terms of distance but time -- we spent a bit of time just lolligagging). Toward the end I wished I had adjusted so my back was more upright. |
