Thanks for posting that, PJ.
I really enjoyed. Wonder if Angus Baptiste passed down his knowledge. Very impressive. WiF |

Angus Baptiste :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup
Someday when I'm windbound for a second day in a row and I'm truly bored, I want to see if I can start a fire like that. Somehow I doubt it's as easy as it looked. |

Same here! That's a new twist on the fire plow method, but I'm always curious when there is a cut-away and they return to see smoke/flame. dd |

Smoke? Fine. Flame, like that and lighting what he did with it? I can think of easier ways too. I'm not knocking the guy. I just expect I'd have to do it differently. |

Quick fire ... I noticed that Angus didn't get a pat-down at the start. Matches in HIS pockets?
Angus, the announcer, the camera man. Who was the 4th guy? There area couple of times when the camera man is on film and the camera is still tracking. Clearly all 3 are in the canoe at the end and paddling away and the camera is STILL tracking. So, how many people participated in building that fantastic birch bark canoe? None the less ... very entertaining. (I had completely forgotten about the stick mike.) dd |
