The article referred to here appeared in a recent issue of Nastawgan, which is the magazine/journal put out quarterly by the WCA (Wilderness Canoe Association.)  The Jacobson article appeared not in the most recent issue but in the one before that.  Unfortunately I don't keep them otherwise I'd send you mine.  And yes, Jacobson was very high on the Pak Canoes that they had taken for their trip.  You could probably contact WCA and see if it is possible to get a back issue or they may have on-line access to past articles.
