I might have to give that one a go. I seen it and passed on it some time ago but will give it a second look. I'm currently reading about the mountaineering tragedy on K2 in 2008 where 11 climbers died. It would fold in very well with the book you suggest.

While there may be one decision that can save you (Rob Hall neglected his adamant 2 PM turnaround time on Everest)......... I find it is often a combination of circumstances that land you in trouble. Each circumstance on its own seems modest but when taken together are often insurmountable. In other words you don't really realize you are in trouble.............
