Title: Caught a Northern Pike today Post by DentonDoc on Aug 28th, 2012 at 1:39am
The pike I boated today was 30-32 inches. Normally that would be a big woop, but this one was in a lake at 8,300 feet. In addition, I was using a flat fish lure, which I generally don't take on north lake trips.

Mountains in northern New Mexico. Mostly rainbows and Kokanee salmon in the lake. Pike were accidentally introduced and there is no bag limit. This one was healthy and drug me around the lake for a few minutes. dd |

I loved catching the little Kokes in Wasington. I liked using garlic flavored yellow marshmellows. A heavy weight, a great heave and a forked stick and a good book seemed to take them fairly well. :)
New Mexico.......sounds nice. Your livin large doc, have fun 8-) |
