I started visiting Boundary Waters / Quetico as a boy, with Dad & brothers. Got busy raising family and then gradually taught my wife to love the place like I do. We've tripped yearly for 16 years, still going strong for a couple of upper-60's campers. We've invited many people, but find that 95% prefer Holiday Inn. We enjoyed our daughter and her husband for a 10-day Quetico trip, but they ran out of steam 1/2 way through it, and won't return. If we ever get anyone else to share Quetico with, I'm going to be very careful to limit their travel to 3-4 lakes, and limit their time to 5-6 days. The stress of it all can unhinge the strongest person, because it's so foreign to typical daily life. We'd enjoy the company of similar-experienced people on future camping/fishing/canoeing/portaging adventures, but don't know how to find them. We're retiired in the K.C. area, enjoying 13 Grandchildren, and planning next fall's trip. Jack
