Can't speak to the creek route to McIntyre from Robinson, but I'd say that route would be highly dependent on time of year/water level.  I paddled back to where the creek starts from the Robinson end (but no further).  It looked very weedy/swampy in September. 

The route we took was via Cecil and if you get a reasonably early start, I see no reason (other than a strong north wind) why would wouldn't be able to make Robinson to Brent by mid-day.

As for getting to Robinson, you might also want to consider a tow to Lincoln Island and a route taking you by Kett and Nub.  I'd say that it is probably a little quicker than Moose Bay and you'd not likely encounter any folks along the way.  Of course the Basswood River is nice (and the picto's beyond Lower Basswood Falls are nice to see), but you're almost guaranteed to see quite a few fellow paddlers.
