I usually like to take to do a loop when I go to Brent. I get a tow from PP to Back Bay , then thru Basswood Falls. I have camped on north end of Robinson ( thanks to QP) and have headed thru McIntyre Creek ( it is doable) and then on to McIntyre and Brent by mid day.( I have also made it to McIntyre at end of 1st day depending on conditions, load and paddling/portaging ability of group. I also have taken Cecil to McIntyre too. I like to mix it up. On the way out I like to come out via Sarah, Side, North Bay and Bayley Bay to PP. 

If you prefer the east end of Brent to fish ... you can go from Basswood Falls to Crooked, up Gardner Bay, Elk and Cone.  Another route I have taken to east end of Brent is to go via Bottle Portage ( from LLC) Iron, Crooked, Gardner Bay, Elk, Cone.

Either way ... Brent is great destination.
