I talked with the canoe guy from Midwest Mountaineering yesterday, and learned that Ted Bell is back in canoe production, based out of Zimmerman, MN. 

He'll have a limited line of canoes out this Spring: only composites, only the Northwind and the Northwoods, and only wood or aluminum trim. 

If I understand correctly, he's using different molds, so the look will be different.  And the name might be slightly different.  Not sure, but I'm guessing some of this has to do with legal, copyright considerations.

Regardless, I'm excited to see Bell back!
