Are there trout (other than lake trout) in Quetico streams or lakes?  If so, where and how did they get there (old or new stocking, naturally?)

Brookies in streams and rainbows in Quetico? Could be,but that would be new to me. I could see some brook trout stream in Quetico someplace existing. :)

There are Brookies in several creeks in Quetico.

Thanks on the brookies,that is very interesting. Always been a brookie fan and though it would be neat to have a stream in the wilderness to fish them. Usually fish the south and central part of the park,which does not have much for cold water streams.   

I thought rainbows were actually only native ("natural") to tributaries to the Pacific Ocean...? (Though long established to the Great Lakes area through stocking and disperal)  Brookies, on the other hand, found in the middle of North America since the glaciers pulled back.

True, Ripple, about the native range of rainbow trout. They have, as we know, been successfully established around the world. In some places, like the southern Applachians, they have driven the native brookies out.

Personally, I know of no brook or rainbow trout in the Park, but there may be some.
