I can't believe how many people don't take vacations or work during them. :-?
One of the "promises" of all that new technology was the idea that people would have more leisure time if they chose too.
I have people tell me all the time that they think taking a vacation will cost them in the eye's of the company.
They walk people out on almost a daily basis and when the hammer falls, they don't care how much of a "company man" you are, your toast. :'(
Everyone I know is working more hours for less pay than they did just a few years ago. :(
I'm a pretty frugal person, and can live comfortably "close to the bone".
I'd rather have time in the wilderness than the latest gadget or luxury item.
My goal is to retire in good shape health wise and
and not worry about keeping up with anyone else. ;)
