i need to keep up with the times!! i was thinking you were talking the "spring bulldawg" and not the "micro dawg."

@mt, the jointed ones do make a pretty loud clacklin noise without the rattles. you can hear it when you get the lure about 1/2 way in even when its down 4+ feet.

as for transporting some of the bigger lures with the big ole hooks on em... i plan to bring more big stuff for this next trip, shallow raiders, etc, going for a monster pike, and when ive brought them in the past i just take all the hooks off the biggins and stash the hooks in my tackle tray. the lure bodys then stuff conveniently in crevices in your pack (or your buddys packs (bonus perk of being the "official car packer")). that way you dont waste space trying to tray a giant lure with clunky hooks
