The animals in the picture are about 4-6" long. The mother (not in this group but with a straggler behind this cluster) was within this size range. They had very sharp pointed faces and white bellies. They are not minks. They may be short-tailed weasels (Ermine), not easy to discriminate between short-tailed and least whilst in the drink.
