I took a trip early June last year.  We went in at Prairie Portage, up Kahshahpiwi, the poets, McDougall, Conmee, Delahey, Brent, Darky, Argo, Crooked, etc. and back out at Prairie Portage.  That early in the year some of the portage trails were a bit rough (quite a few uncleared blowdowns), but the campsites were not trashed, firewood was plentiful, and the fish were biting.  Bugs weren't too bad, but take a headnet and good bug dope, and I am a big fan of permethrin for clothing.  I wish I was going again this year!
