Old Salt, you look like my kinda guy.  Thanks for making us newbies feel welcome.  I signed on as an Inukshuk because I could see there was a lot to learn, and it has already been worth my while.  I'll be taking my first BWCA trip with my 32-year-old son along the Knife Lake Route (Seagull-Knife-Saganaga) in early June (provided the ice actually IS out by then!) and hope to learn a little more about what to expect from paddlers/anglers who have been there at about that time of the year.  My son is a professional photographer and I'm a fishery biologist, so we plan to contribute to the forum once we know what we're talking about  :)
