Title: Cirrus Lake lakers Post by Northman on Mar 29th, 2014 at 2:30pm
We have a group of 4 starting at Beaverhouse on June 20th. I never hear much regarding fishing quality or much about Cirrus Lake in general. We were hoping to do a couple of base camps on Cirrus, maybe go to Kasa also for our 7 days in the park. I really want to catch a few lakers, and also the usual cast of caracters. Could anyone put their 2 cents worth in on the fishing in Cirrus in June? Much appreciated.

It is helpful to have a depth finder to locate deeper water.

If I had to guestimate, based on the length of winter this year and my several trips base camping on Cirrus, you shouldn't have trouble locating LT in mid-late June. Trolling a 20' - 30' tail dancer should be productive. The pinch between lower and mid cirrus has been productive and around the the island over there. Also, the north shore of upper and lower cirrus and the south shore of mid cirrus seem more productive than their opposing shorelines. Both pinch points and the bays in upper cirrus have been consistent LT haunts. I could email you specifics if you like.
