In sticking with PB's original question, there are a lot of neat, zany, fun handles here - not just the regular players, but scanning the members list you get the spectrum for sure.  There are also a good few more 'naked' folks on the list too.

I'll second the vote for Wenonah Rider and add Mastertangler, Phantom Jug, and Wildernesswendy as all pretty cool. 

Some say a handle should be 'earned' on the trail and many are so, not always in a flattering manner though.  My younger sister bestowed mine upon me on an '09 Q trip we did with our boys.  Apparently impressed with my portage skill, even after wrenching an ankle on a particularly slippery one the third day into a 10 day trip.  :-/ Admittedly, I did modify it slightly as a precautionary move to avoid a potential lightning stike.  :o  Portages do tend to be some beautiful parts of the park, offer a break from paddling, and provide a much closer experience with the surroundings.
