I have both the roll a stool and alite mayfly chairs

the mayfly is harder to use, in that you have to kind of drop/flop back into it, and is harder to exit  -  it is  a nice small package and quite comfortable

Jimmar, whenever you put your chair back into its stuff bag, check to see that both of the rubber "feet" are still on the back legs - I got my chair at REI Garage Sale, and that was what was wrong with that one - it was missing one of the rubber feet - they can come off.  There were a dozen or more of the mayfly chairs at that sale - several I looked at had stitching that had blown out, probably from heavyweights plopping down into the chairs - they do have a lifetime warranty according to the website.

of the two chairs, if I were to take one on a Quetico trip, I'd be inclined to take the Mayfly because of its smaller package and better comfort.

I'll actually use the roll-a-stool this evening at camp - doing a section of the Arkansas R tomorrow and the group is camping our this evening nearby.  I keep that stool in the back of the truck, so I don't have to think about packing one.
