I'm going to revive this thread because I've been looking at a Hawkeye Portable Fish Finder. It looks like just a basic depth finder with some fish finding ability. I would buy it because a) it's cheap (20 or so) b) it is lighweight (<1 lb?) and c) it's small -- about 3 x 6 x 2? Have you ever used one or been on a trip with someone who has? Is this a reliable option for what you are looking for? Just curious.
