If any QJ-ers are in Madison this weekend for the Beer festival, let me know, and maybe we could get together.  In addition to the main event on Saturday, there are literally dozens of other events leading up to it.

Starting at 10 a.m. Friday:
Bell's Brewery of Kalamazoo, Michigan: Here's the grandaddy of all Great Taste pre-parties, a legendary tap takeover that has set the pace for the scene over many years. Starting in the morning, a full two hours earlier than last year's noon kickoff, this is a mini-festival unto itself. These additional two hours are being presented as "Breakfast with Bell's," complete with beermosas and Two-Hearted Bloody Marys. The famed southwest Michigan brewery will once again serve 19 beers over the day, with 18 on tap and one in a firkin. Here's the menu: Quinanan Falls Special Lager Beer (imperial pils), Debs' Red Ale, Lager of the Lakes (American pale lager), Wedding Ale (golden ale with orange peel and coriander), Kalamazoo Hopsolution Ale (imperial IPA), Wild One (American wild ale), Raspberry Wild One, Traverse City Cherry Third Coast Old Ale (barleywine), Honey Hearted (bourbon barrel-aged malt beverage made with honey and both orange and lemon zest), Beer Michigan Ale (barleywine), Kalamazoo IPA, Bourbon Barrel Aged Kalamazoo Stout, Roundhouse (India red ale), Imperial Red Ale, Special Double Cream Stout served on nitrogen, Oberon, Amber, Oarsman (Berliner Weisse), and a firkin of Two Hearted Ale. Another "special beer" will also be tapped at a random time during the pre-party. About a dozen Bell's employees are expected to join in the festivities throughout the day.
