DB you got me beat. My lift kit dry weight is 18.7 Oz. as pictured in page one of this thread. That is with a 4 to 1 mechanical advantage (ya I know that is over kill).
All of the lines are stretchy nylon including the tree to tree line which is paracord. I almost never get the line to come up tight against the trunk. It almost always gets caught on limbs. So the line crosses several springy limbs before being ties off. I pull the line tight not leaving slack in case the wind blows. Now I know I am doing it all wrong but my pack does not settle overnight even when it rains. |
