I did a 5 sailing block/pulley system because these were ones I had and I thought "what the heck, let's give it a shot". It took a bit of untangling and laying out but this is the system I used on Wood Lake in the BWCA on the 18th (last month).

The only adaptation I've since added is that the bottom 2 pulleys are now a double-sheave harken micro 22mm which works much better. Total weight is still up there at 23oz but I have a huge amount of 3/16" cord on each. Probably 125ft on the yellow bottom cord at least.

Still tinkering but it's getting better....
