Just a week or so ago up on Oliphant (sp?) I ventured off to do my business after dark. I took the normal mental notes to where I was going. I hate when people do this deed to where your stumbling over it getting wood. Finally found the spot, took care of business carefully covering the evidence and turned to leave. The terrain was nothing like my mental notes. I got turned around, but mad it back to the lake. I walked the shore line both directions a half hour one way and almost an hour back. One section I had to go around a big rock, but it seemed like I'd gotten back if there was anything there. I ended up in another campsite so I stayed there. I built a fire to stay warm and kept gathering wood contemplating all the scenario's. I even thought I might have gone north and was on a different lake. So I waited until the sun rise and was relieved I was on the right lake as East was to my left as I was facing the lake. I waited until the fire was out and walked back east and around that rock outcropping I saw the strip of land which was our campsite and my tripping partner fishing quietly as not to wake me up as before we had turned in I told him I needed a good night sleep.  :P
