Title: ST FALL TRIP SKILLET REVIEW
Post by solotripper on Oct 5th, 2014 at 2:35pm
I was in the market for a new skillet and from prior discussions here, I had decided that the uber lightweight non-stick skillet that came/went with my Bugaboo cook set needed to be replaced with something more substantial.

Weight is always a consideration for most of us, but regardless of if you cook on just a stove or fire or both, a skillet has to be able to take the heat, be reasonably light, and well made.

I believe I found a good contender.
I bought this 8" non-stick skillet at Sam's Club.
It's commercial grade aluminum with a non-stick interior. Handle is riveted on (3) and a removable silicone handle cover.

It's not listed on line, but they sell them in the clubs in the area for other kitchen items.
They come in 8" ( big enough for solo/tandem) 10" and 12".

The bottom says: Bakers & Chefs.
My 8" was around $15.
And if like me you try and buy American, it's made here in the USA.

They also have a nice looking 3 ply stainless skillet but that's a little more.

Non-stick skillets need to be kept at a reasonable temp, but unless your the kind of person that's looking to "blacken" your fish, I think it would serve most peoples needs at a reasonable price/weight.
