I think it's the non-stop flood of negative, if it bleeds it leads stories 24/7. Between that and the winter "blahs" it's easy to feel like your "suffocating".
One of the over the air broadcast channels I get, has old comedy classic movies that as a kid I loved.
Spend an hour watching Laurel and Hardy or Abbot and Costello and laughing yourself silly like you did when you were a kid is a great way to escape the seemingly never ending harsh realities of today's world. ;)
