Checkin out Backpacker mag and came across these.

Anybody try these? I guess they pack 130 calories......might be worth a try.

Yes, they're good. Not too sticky to handle, or goo up pockets. Using them XC skiing and snowshoeing, don't freeze solid like gels or power bars in the cold we're having now. Happily warmer on the east side of Lake Michigan lately. A balmy zero not -40.

Included in Philmont meals - had a couple during 10 day trek - OK - not great - but then I'm in to simpler items while canoeing.

I should add I liked their "energy chews" a little more - but find the price a little too high for my taste.
