We thought it would be good to continue the tradition of getting together with any of you who come in on Friday for an informal dinner. It's a nice kick-off to the weekend's festivities!

By special request from Old Salt, we're going to make this year's venue a barbecue spot!

For convenience, I recommend we gather at Fat Jack's in Monona at 6:00 Friday night. You can check out their menu here: (You need to Login or Register

I think you'll like it. It's just off the Beltline, not far from Rutabaga, the store that puts on the Copia.

Please respond here if you're interested in coming, so I can reserve us a table.

Nothing wrong with adding a little poker to the festivities, Puckster. We can all pile into Old Salt's hotel room and litter the place with beer cans and cigar butts ;D

Even if you haven't signed up, if you can come at last minute, just show up. We'll be the group wearing BBQ sauce T-shirts. 8-)

If you want some help planning your next trip, bring your maps. Someone in the room has probably been there. ;)

Sorry I missed everybody! I arrived around 8:30 because I stayed for one last presentation. The waitresses said that they kicked you all out because, and I quote "they were a bunch of rabble-rousers". I'm not making that up! They (the waitresses) were smiling when they said it though ;D

I don't know what time they kicked you out, but we arrived at about 8:35 or 8:40 and they said you had all left "awhile ago." They didn't tell us they had kicked you out, though! We were disappointed, as we hoped to see you tonight.
