I smiled when I read the forum title of "What's Cooking?" and then read "Ursack".  Must be I am in a goofy mood this morning, but my first thought was, "My, that would be a tough one!  I wonder how long you would have to cook one?"   ;D

Have never used an Ursack, but have wondered about them.  We invested in a couple Bear Vaults before our 2012 trip with Ho Ho and David because they have them and they recommended them.  We did like using them, although I found them as hard to get into as the bears probably do.  But not hanging packs is certainly more convenient, especially for us, when we sometimes have to access food in the middle of the night for low blood sugar events.  I guess we didn't think that much about the weight--come to think of it, David was carrying the food pack for us!   ;)  Nice having a sherpa.
