Unfortunately, due to the environmental disaster that occurred late last year, there are no fish in the Q. So, there's no reason to fish there. The good news is that you won't need to pack any heavy, bulky fishing tackle, nor will fish interrupt your travel. Park management anticipates that users will report improved experiences due to no fish kills at campsites. Bears will avoid contact with campers due to a renewed focus on berries.
I really hate being the bearer of bad news, but look on the bright side. Politically incorrect fishermen are still welcomed in the bwcaw as that area was untouched. Environmentalists estimate recovery could take 50 years or more. |
