I went in September of 2012 and I believe it was the year in which the "new" corduroy portage was installed on the east side of the meadows. I don't recall any problem finding it but I think the orange plastic tape markers were still in place.

It was a big improvement over a couple of years earlier when coming down the west side I lost a boot in hip deep muck.

Still liked the pond and paddling the whole way the first time in early 2000s.
