I wonder how long this will drag on for. I'd imagine a guy traveling on foot without a canoe, with a decent skill set, could probably stay hidden for just about as long as he wants to. Of course, this guy probably has no idea he's the subject of a search, so he may not be thinking that way (or even very clearly).
