I just spoke with my brother about this.  He was troubled at the news (he was in ID fighting fires the past 3 weeks)  Aaron spent 4 nights in my brothers garage in mid July.  He is smart albeit, quirky.  He would work for food/weed/beer but really had no plans or directions.  He can read and speak intelligently.  He eats only uncooked, raw, natural food and knows his way around the woods.  He has no family or relatives (that would claim him anyway.)  He's been living out of a tent and panhandling all summer in Ely.  Yes, probably mental health issues (like all of us).  Needy guy who got a raw deal somewhere along the line.  I doubt he woke up one morning and said; "Hey, I think I'll be a homeless vagrant and wander the wilderness with no shoes for the rest of my life."  Then again, maybe he did . . .  .
