Title: Firebox Wood stove. Post by solotripper on Sep 19th, 2015 at 2:59pm
I have the Nano model and I like it a lot.
I wanted something that packed flat and didn't have to be put together. This is a stove more for groups but the simplicity is still the same. (You need to Login or Register There doing a Kickstarter Campaign for their new improved 5" model but you can also pre-order one on their website. |

I have one of these EmberLit stoves:
(You need to Login or Register The one you posted is a neat idea to have a 2-in-1 with either a stove or convert to a wood burner. I checked to see if my WindPro would fit in the EmberLit, but it does not. Sure would be nice to not have to dink around with that flimsy aluminum wind screen on the MSR. :P |

I looked at a lot of wood-stoves.
There are many styles and the all work well but I wanted one that took up as little space as possible and that didn't have to be assembled before using. When I looked at the Firebox and it's folding shape with no assembly, I knew that was the one I wanted. The ability to use an alcohol stove is a added plus that I might use down the road when my beloved Peak I finally gives up the ghost. That little Nano is about the size of a deck of cards when folded and in its case. Hard to beat that for ease of carrying/packing. |
