well that settles it
platypusies and nalgenes are in and vapur is out.
stupid little stuff like this makes a difference. i coulda been out 20 bucks and had leaky bottles. the platypus also gets stuffed in my coat when the dog and i go to the field. don't want no leaky vapur out there. the platypus stands upright but not as wide a bottom as the nalgene.  have thought about using evaporative cooling many times but never followed thru
on a side note, i replaced my old narrow top hard nalgene with a new one and retired the old narrow top as a cooking oil container. this past year was the first time cooking oil didn't creep out.
